Planning around new residential and business developments has 2 stages:
New legislation states that local communities should be involved and consulted at both stages.
What is 'Shaping Communities'
Ealing Community Network together with the Ealing Planning in the Community Working Group has developed a web based community consultation tool which will be used by panels that represent the main areas within the borough of Ealing (Acton, Ealing, Greenford/Perivale, Hanwell, Southall and Northolt). These panels will use this facility to assess the impact a development would have on their local area and the facilities that should be provided as part of a development e.g. open space, children's play service.
