Over the last year ECN has been working with Statutory Partners to agree an protocol to allow the sharing of personal data, which was agreed this week by the LSP Executive.

The protocol provides a framework for partner organisations including the Voluntary and Community Sector to establish and regulate working practices to ensure that information is managed and shared on a lawful, ‘need to know’ basis.

The Protocol will be used in conjunction with local service level agreements, contracts and other formal agreements that already exist. Within the protocol is a template for an Information Sharing Agreement which will support any of the above agreements with individual organisations.
