Funding Reductions

It is better to plan ahead and ECN and LBE have set up a joint working party to review future savings options

The initial approach from ECN has been:

• any savings should be made across all VCS funding areas not just the main grants budget
• any % VCS savings should be no greater than in other LBE budgets
• any savings should be achieved by an equal % cut across all VCS groups-rather than some groups losing funding altogether
• small groups receiving less than £10,000 should be protected from cuts
• there should be an equalities impact assessment
