Workshop aim: To raise awareness of the knowledge and skills required in community organisations which provide information, advice and guidance to support service users to overcome barriers

By the end of the workshop participants will be more familiar with:

• The role of an information and advice giver
• how to access local, regional and national information to meet the needs of service users
• steps that can be taken to ascertain a service user's problems
• how to ensure service user confidentiality when working with other local providers
• routes to further training and IAG accreditation

Suitable for: Information and advice givers in front-line services. this workshop will be of particular interest to staff and volunteers working with unemployed people.
