Welcome to the New ECN Green Zone

Our vision is for Ealing to be a model green borough giving a high priority to environmental and climate change issues: and where voluntary and community groups play an active role in promoting, protecting and preserving the environment for future generations
(ECN Community Strategy)
Climate change will affect all of us - individuals, communities and organisations - and it is up to all of us to take steps - large and small - to reduce climate change and protect the environment.
The Going Green Zone is here to help you take these steps!
The site contains:
Low Carbon Buildings Programme grants
Charities and community organisations are being encouraged to apply for grants through the Low Carbon Programme, which will help fund the installation of energy generating equipment such as solar panels, wind turbines and biomass boilers.
The programme seeks to build a sustainable microgeneration industry based on quality and reliability and accordingly to Energy Minister, Lord Hunt it will "help in the fight against climate change."
Since the programme's launch in 2006, over 12,000 projects have been awarded grants. Applications for the latest phase of the programme will be accepted until June 2009. To find out more about the scheme, please visit the Low Carbon Buildings Programme website.
Environmental Survey
ECN would like you to participate in an Environmental Survey to see how the voluntary sector in Ealing is. The survey will help us to identfy areas for improvement and establish what can be done to improve our local community click here to download a copy click here .
Development of the Going Green Zone has been funded by ECN, Digital Challenge and Change Up.
